Centertable Catering

Free food: One of the best parts of wedding preparations (if not the best). Sourcing for the best caterer may not be a breeze, but Francis and I have made things easier by doing our homeworks beforehand, or should I say my homework in advance. I've done research (which is mostly reading about supplier ratings and rantings on w@w) on our venue's accredited caterers (there's not so many on the list ), and came-up with the caterer closest to our needs.

Center Table Catering has been around for quite sometime now. They have been at the service of prominent families and figures (from tito aga to tita glo) since 1987. They have had good feedbacks from w@w too (I have been a member of the group since december 2007 and it has been a great help in our preps), where members raved both on their food and their set-up. Good tasting food combined with a tasteful set-up becomes great tasting, mouth watering food for your senses. Centertable's set-up is simply gorgeous. It's not the usual bland plates and silverware that most caterers use. They always put a personal touch on every wedding they tend to. You can check on their website for some of the pictures of their set-up and centerpieces.

It also helped that Camille, our wedding coordinator vouched for CT. As a coordinator, she has most definitely tasted alot of caterer foods in the wed-biz already. And by far she finds CT's food as the most satisfying and the most distinct among them (most caterers' food already taste similar to one another, ones buko pandan may even taste the same as the other, you can go try that in wedding fairs). So when I told her that I dropped our Manila Pen reservation and moved on to Blue Leaf, and is in dire need of a caterer, she suggested CT. She was the one who booked for our Food Tasting last May 20.

This was the best part I was talking about. Food Tasting, lots of yummy food all for free. We had ours at the Valera (CT's owners) Residence at Merville. It was really good that we were warned not to eat anything beforehand, so we were able to enjoy every bit of everything (from their uber famous roastbeef to aga muhlach's favorite shrimp rolls). We loved their food and we also love having Tita Rose Valera around us our host. We get to talk to her about food, showbiz and yes even politics (or should I say stories of political figures when they party...)

I also get to show her how I want our center pieces to look like, the couple's table, some inspirations on my Asian-Fusion theme, and I was glad to hear her suggestions for the flowers, and how are they gonna pull-off the elements into the center pieces that I envision. We had a little chit-chat with Jenifer about the freebies, payment terms etc, and we paid outright our reservation fee (Hubby has been wanting to pull it out of his pocket). We were glad for another mission accomplished that day and for our tummies-so-full. ;D
